I'm Sarah, 33 year old York girl born and bred.
What to say about myself?
Well, I'm studying a degree, in Childhood Studies and International Development, with the Open University and I run a registered charity that I founded a few years ago, Chaffinch, working with children in the Kibera slum of Kenya.
A percentage of my earnings from cat sitting is donated to Chaffinch for the provision of food, education, and clothing for the slum children.
I have had cats for about 12 years. I currently have a big softie called Ebony who is now 6 years old. Ebony detests taking tablets so I've become quite the expert at getting them into her - if your kitty needs medication, it shouldn't be a problem.
I've got experience with nervous cats so I do the 'slow and gentle' pretty well. I've also dealt with the less friendly, 'scratch-happy' cats so not daunted!
I'm great at cuddles, belly rubs, and under-the-chin-scratching. I also have a range of interactive toys that I can bring on visits for your cat to enjoy. If you have toys that your cat loves, I'm happy to indulge in a play session.
I have a level 3 qualification in 'First Aid for Cats and Kittens', in which I achieved a Higher Distinction.
I don't have my own transport so I'm reliant on the buses really. This means there's an extra condition that you live no further than a mile from the nearest bus route (not usually an issue unless you're very remote or in one of the lovely villages that only has one bus a day!)
I'm just a massive cat lover who understands the concerns involved when you need to leave your kitty behind for a few days.
I will supply one photo from each visit (via WhatsApp, email, or Facebook messenger to anywhere in the world), and a Dropbox link upon your return so you can see what your little one has been doing whilst you were away.
I will always do the little extras, like feeding fish, picking up the mail, watering plants etc.
Sarah was excellent. She sent me pictures and kept me informed whilst I was away at my son's wedding. I would highly recommend Sarah!
Professional and caring
Well what can I say Sarah has just gone above and beyond to ensure Bonnies well being and keeping Us informed with daily reports and photographs. Bonnie is the most relaxed I have ever seen her so happy in Sarah's company and when we arrived home. Cannot recommend Sarah highly enough you can be totally rest assured your beloved Pet is being completely cared for in a Professional and caring way. We will never use a cattery again!!!!!
Sarah's a star
Sarah's a star. Helped us out at short notice with a single evening visit whilst we popped off to get married. No fuss, no pain, great work!
Sarah was fantastic from start to finish.
She went above-and-beyond to make us feel comfortable, confident and reassured throughout the whole process.
Whilst we were away, she took great care of Patch (and our plants, and even the rubbish collection)!
Couldn't recommend more highly.
Another stress-free holiday for us as Sarah takes such good care of our three Siamese babies. We had no hesitation in booking her again after our previous experience and once again our three have been very happy and relaxed with her. The house was also left spotless so very nice to come home to. We would thoroughly recommend Sarah to anyone who wants a kind, caring person to look after their special cats. We will certainly ask her again and will hope that she is not too much in demand!

Highly recommend her
Sarah stayed over four nights to look after our three Siamese cats who can be hard work believe me! She had to give them four meals a day as they are fussy and lots of play time. Our babies are in great spirits and have obviously had a great time with Sarah and it has been so much better than a cattery. Sarah sent us lovely photos every day of each cat with a commentary! The house was left very tidy and we are extremely happy. We would certainly use Sarah again and would highly recommend her to anyone wanting a cat sitter.
